Film Synopsis: David Norris is an ambitious politician, leading the race to be the next U.S. senator from New York. But when his campaign implodes, he has a brief chance encounter with a ballerina, Elise, and she inspires him to give a concession speech that reignites his prospects and might propel him to even greater things. David, intrigued by Elise, seeks her out, but is blocked at every turn by mysterious agents known as The Adjustment Bureau. It seems that fate has a plan for David that does not involve Elise, and the Bureau is determined that he should stick to it. Does David have the free will to make choices, or is his life predetermined by a higher, mysterious power? The Adjustment Bureau explores the tension between free will and predestination and can open up a lot of discussion areas about the role of God in our lives.
