What does it really take to succeed?
Monsters University will help your group to examine the need for good mentors, the importance of teamwork, why we must have an honest assessment of ourselves, cheating, and the relationship between humility and success.
Film Synopsis: A prequel to Monsters Inc. - Monsters University takes us back to Mike's youth. Because he is smaller than the other monsters, Mike has to try harder. A class field trip leads Mike into a chance encounter with a star scarer at Monsters Incorporated and Mike's path is set. He is determined to go to Monsters University to major in scaring. The only problem is, Mike's not that scary.

A combination of grit, perseverance, and commitment to his studies lands him a place at MU. He meets his shy roommate, and runs afoul of a big blue monster named James "Sulley" Sullivan, who believes that he can trade on his family name to get ahead. Mike continues to work hard, but before the first semester is completed, both he and Sulley are kicked out of the program by Dean Hardscrabble who tells them that they have no future as scarers.

Undeterred, Mike decides to enter The Scare Games, the school's scaring competition. He makes a bet with Dean Hardscrabble that, should he win, he be readmitted to the program. The problem is, teams require six monsters and Mike has only found five, rather pitiful, teammates from Oozma Kappa. Against his better judgment, Mike allows Sulley to join the team and they begin to train together in hopes of victory. But can a woeful bunch of losers find a way to beat the powerful Roar Omega Roar fraternity?
