What really happens after you die?
R.I.P.D. will help your group explore: how no one knows when their time is up; what happens when we die; the Day of Judgment; the reality of hell; and our ideas about Heaven.
Film Synopsis: Nick, a pretty-clean Boston police officer with everything to live for - a beautiful wife, a cozy home - finds himself in the middle of a drug bust on the wrong end of a bullet. But it is the "pretty clean" part of his life that is going to get him in trouble in death. Pretty clean is also a little dirty. He is going to need some help on Judgment Day. So on his way through the long tunnel toward the bright light he is hijacked by the Rest in Peace Department.

The R.I.P.D. is in charge of capturing the dead - called "Dead-os" who have chosen to remain on Earth, creating havoc and tilting Earth's balance toward death. Though he was an ace officer in life, Nick is a rookie in death, so he is teamed up with long-time lawman, Roy, and sent back to Earth to clean up the streets of his hometown. Nick is promised that if he does a good job, they will put in a good word for him at Judgment. But Nick sees some other benefits connected with a return to Boston - reconnecting with his wife, Julia, and taking down the man who killed him.

But what comes down from the R.I.P.D doesn't look like what went up. To everyone else, Nick looks like an elderly Chinese man, and Roy has the appearance of a female supermodel. The unlikely duo is tracking some gold pieces that they soon discover will, when assembled by the deados, create a portal that will fill the planet with the living dead. And if that happens, all life on Earth will be extinguished.
