Film Synopsis: Princess Elsa, daughter of the king and queen of Arendelle, possesses an incredible power -- the ability to control ice and snow. But after a near-tragic accident in her youth, Elsa is sworn to hide her power from others, including her sister, Anna. As a result, Elsa grows up isolated and afraid of what she may become. Meanwhile, Anna, robbed of her sister's attentions and forbidden to interact with the outside world, desperately desires love and companionship.

On Elsa's coronation day, a surprise from Anna causes Elsa's emotions to burn, unleashing her power in public for the first time. Her subjects brand Elsa a monster, and she puts herself into exile. But what she does not know is that the exercise of her power has placed all of Arendelle into a perpetual winter. If Elsa cannot be persuaded to come down and reverse the damage, the entire kingdom will perish.

Anna volunteers to leave the castle, and her fiance, Hans, to confront Elsa and bring her home. Aided by Kristoff, a young, brave ice merchant, Anna must overcome the elements as well as her own fears to attempt to persuade her sister to return and restore the kingdom.

With both Princess Anna and Queen Elsa out of Arendelle, a usurper arises, threatening to overthrow the kingdom. Only an act of tremendous self-sacrifice can stop the takeover and restore the land.
